Hi and thanks for stopping by to learn more about me; a Kenyan, born and raised in Africa, and currently based in Germany. When I was young, I wanted to be an air hostess, nurse or fashion designer. I studied design, moved to Europe and worked in the fashion industry as a sales rep. I left employment following a back injury and after recovering followed my passion for reading and opened a physical bookshop in Germany. For more than five years I was one of my best customers. A book lovers' heaven is owning a bookshop. :-)
But then e-commerce and Amazon became competitors I couldn't keep up with. So armed with an "If you can't beat them join them" attitude, I wrote and published my first book, closed the bookshop and ventured into the online space in 2007. Later I started another business and opened a fashion store in Kenya. It failed after three years so I reinvented myself. Again.

Described by others as a creative change catalyst who thinks outside the box, I enjoy working with people and digital media. My acquired hands-on marketing experience and soft-skills come from owning off and online businesses as well as working in Germany as a freelancer in the market research and social studies industry. I worked on English and German B2B and B2C projects and referrals are available upon request.
